Lindt Excellence 99% Cacao Dark Chocolate on a Keto Diet

Lindt 99% Cacao Excellence Chocolate Bar

Lindt has always been one of my favorite treats so I was excited to find their Excellence 99% Cocoa Bar. This chocolate is rich and intense without the usual sweetness to hide the bitterness, so it’s certainly an acquired taste. There’s even a tasting warning on the packaging; that you should progressively develop your palate first. They recommend working through their range of dark chocolates; starting with Excellence 70%, Excellence 85%, Excellence 90% and finally Excellence 99%.

I imagine it would be delicious melted down into a hot chocolate or drizzled over a keto dessert, but I’m certainly not patient enough for that! I’ve found a square or two after dinner has really helped me deal with my initial cravings and adjust to my new habits. Slowly melted on the tongue, I’ve come to love the rich and earthy taste.

It’s important to note that these Lindt Excellence Bars have different levels carbohydrate and sugar content in various countries. Be sure to check the labels for your own region. Ingredients include cocoa mass, cocoa powder, cocoa butter and brown sugar.

Where to find Lindt Excellence

Japan: Amazon, Kaldi (limited edition for winter)
Australia: Woolworths, Coles (both only stock up to Excellence 90%)
USA: Amazon, Walmart (only stocks up to Excellence 90%)
