Overview:

Required: Bilingual English / Korean speaking

Effective April 1, 2024 and expires December 1, 2024. Applicable only for MA & MOS positions in the Centers of Excellence and Maryland Family Care practices, of which this role applies to.

The Medical Assistant demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department. Additionally, the MA demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients. Assists the MD/NP/PA in performing procedures. Operates, maintains, and calibrates all equipment.

Must be willing to perform job standards and provide excellent customer service to staff, patients and visitors in a manner consistent with Mercy Medical Centers' Service Excellence Standards, Mission, and Values.

Responsibilities:
Heavily focused administrative role: scanning, faxing, scheduling patients, relaying lab results

Clinical responsibilities: vitals, weight, EKGs

Qualifications:
Must possess high school diploma or GED.

Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred.

Some knowledge of computers and referral process preferred.

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
