Position Summary

As a Manufacturing Engineer 2 , you’ll play a key role in supporting and improving our manufacturing processes. Under general supervision, you’ll design engineering solutions, develop technical specifications, prepare procurement documentation, and support production from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations through engineering analysis, design, and documentation.
• Prepare technical studies, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Resolve daily production issues and update operator procedures for the shop floor.
• Manage multiple production processes and prioritize daily engineering tasks.
• Collaborate on project planning, proposals, and budgeting.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors and inspect materials/equipment for compliance with specifications.
• Contribute to bringing new projects from design to full production, on time and within budget.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing methods.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Strong skills in cost estimating and facilities planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access), AutoCAD, 3D Modeling, SAP.
• Strong technical writing abilities for preparing procedures and reports.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role (preferred).

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Must be able to perform tasks such as:

• Lifting over 15 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, crawling, reaching, pushing/pulling.
• Using fine motor skills (grasping, pinching, typing).
• Visual and auditory acuity; reading and writing complex documents in English.
• Wearing protective equipment (e.g., respirators, vests).
• Working in varying environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, noise, fumes).
