We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Licensed Water Treatment Plant Operator (Class A, B, or C Certificate) to join the Utilities team. This full-time role plays a vital part in ensuring that the Palm Beach County community has access to safe, clean water.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor water treatment systems and equipment
• Record and report system performance data
• Collect and test water samples to meet regulatory standards
• Handle and manage chemicals used in water treatment
• Perform basic maintenance and safety checks on equipment and facilities
• Respond to emergencies and assist in storm preparation
• Support and supervise team members (Class A level)

What We’re Looking For:

• Class C License : Experience in a Water treatment plant and a Class C Water Operators Certificate from the State of Florida
• Class B License : 3+ years of experience in a water treatment plant and a Class B Water Operators Certificate from the State of Florida
• Class A License : 5+ years of experience in a water treatment plant and a Class B Water Operators Certificate from the State of Florida + shift supervisory duties
• High school diploma or GED (required – must be submitted with application)
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to work rotating shifts
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and public health standards
• Tobacco-free for at least 3 months before submitting your resume

Work Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor environment
• Physically active role: lifting up to 50+ lbs, climbing, handling chemicals
• Variable weather, heights, noise, and equipment exposure
