Job Description

Key responsibilities

• Perform window cleaning:
• Clean the exterior windows of high-rise buildings using specialized equipment and rope systems.
• Operate Rope Descent Systems:
• Safely set up and operate RDS, which involves descending a building's facade using ropes, harnesses, and a descent device.
• Ensure safety:
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, perform site safety checks, and work in compliance with safety standards.
• Inspect and report:
• Inspect windows and frames for damage like cracks or chips before and during cleaning, and report findings to the appropriate person.
• Maintain equipment:
• Properly use, maintain, and care for all tools and equipment, including ropes, harnesses, and cleaning tools.
  
  
  Work at heights:
• Comfortably and safely work at extreme heights, often requiring the ability to crawl or move along the building's facade.
  
  
  Perform other duties:
• Complete related tasks as needed, such as ground-level window cleaning or basic building maintenance.

Qualifications and skills

• Prior experience:
• Previous experience in high-rise window cleaning or rope access is often preferred.
• Certifications:
• Certifications such as IRATA or SPRAT are a plus or may be required.
• Physical ability:
• Must be physically fit and able to work in a physically demanding role at heights and with heavy equipment.
• Comfort with heights:
• Must be comfortable and have a strong sense of balance when working at extreme heights.
  
  
  Attention to detail:
• A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential for a thorough and safe clean.
• Teamwork:
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with crew members.
• Driver's license:
• A valid driver's license is often required for transportation to job sites.

Compensation: $400.00 per day
