As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will work under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing the physical and psychosocial condition of patients continuously throughout their care journey.
• Developing , communicating, and documenting individualized care plans that involve patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Implementing and coordinating care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of care plans and making necessary adjustments.
• Planning educational opportunities based on the learning needs of patients and families.
• Functioning as a preceptor to new staff and taking on charge nurse responsibilities.
• Ensuring a safe environment for both yourself and your patients.
• Meeting performance expectations in customer service, teamwork, and professional development.
• Promoting a therapeutic environment and managing crisis situations with respect for patient rights.
• Establishing meaningful therapeutic relationships to gain patient trust and cooperation.
• Providing ongoing psychiatric nursing assessments and psychoeducation to patients and families.

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
• Licensure: Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License.
• Special Skills: BLS certification required; proficiency in electronic patient records and internet research.
