POSITION OVERVIEW:
\n\nThe Journeyman Electrician provides skilled electrical support to maintain the continuous operation and reliability of production equipment in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role works collaboratively with electricians on shift, supports the Electrical Maintenance Manager, and ensures proper inventory management of electrical components.
\n\n\n\n
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n\nØ Apprenticing Registered non-licensed Electricians.
\n\nØ Provide technical assistance and support to fellow electricians during troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.
\n\nØ Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical equipment and machinery.
\n\nØ Backfill the Electrical Maintenance Manager role as needed, including oversight of daily operations, assigning tasks, and managing schedules.
\n\nØ Order electrical parts and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels to support continuous manufacturing operations.
\n\nØ Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes. Implement effective solutions to restore equipment functionality.
\n\nØ Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, procedures, and electrical codes to ensure a safe working environment.
\n\nØ Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to identify improvement opportunities that enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
\n\nØ Maintain clear and precise documentation of repairs, inventory transactions, and other maintenance activities.
\n\nØ Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
\n\nIn addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
\n\nMinimum Requirements
\n\nØ High school diploma or equivalent required.
\n\nØ Valid Journeyman Electrician license required.
\n\nØ Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
\n\nØ A strong background in industrial electrical, VFD, PLC, HMI, motors, sensors, and other electrical devices.
\n\nØ Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
\n\nØ The ability to use a multimeter and other electrical troubleshooting tools.
\n\nØ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
\n\nØ Ability to effectively backfill supervisory roles and manage team dynamics.
\n\nØ Experience with Excel and Office is a plus.

Preferred Requirements
\n\nØ Working experience as an electrician in a canning manufacturing facility.
\n\n\n\n
