Position Summary Responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by consistently providing excellent service, great tasting/quality food, and a clean restaurant environment for all guests by performing one or more workstations in accordance with Jack in the Box procedures, systems, and standards, and meeting 20/20 guest expectations. Guest Expectations Always says "YES" to the guest and works with the team to solve problems; follows the 3-steps (Listen, Say sorry, Make it right) if a problem occurs; and uses Jack in the Box Smart Selling standards as appropriate. Very knowledgeable and answers guest questions quickly and accurately. Calm and productive during busy times; does not look rushed. Neat and Well‑Groomed Follows Jack in the Box uniform and grooming standards. Looks professional: shirt tucked in, hair contained via hat, visor, hairnet, and uniform clean and unwrinkled. Interior Sweeps, mops, and cleans dining area; cleans windows and doors. Cleans and stocks restrooms. Maintains equipment, drink dispensers, ice bins, and POS. Inspects all areas for cleanliness. Exterior Sweeps and tidies parking lots, drive‑thru, sidewalks, and curbs. Empties trash cans and cleans exterior items. Cleans drive‑thru and dumpster slabs. Inspects all areas for cleanliness. Back of Restaurant Assembly Uses correct ingredients and portions; checks appearance, temperature, and accuracy before delivery. Discards expired or sub‑standard products. Prep Properly defrosts, stores, and rotates frozen products. Open and stores products in correct areas; affixes shelf life labels. Removes expired ingredients; ensures cleanliness. Meets food safety standards. Fryer Prepares menu products, fires and times as required. Monitors and records product codes. Maintains equipment sanitation and stocking. Interior Maintains cleanliness and stock of freezer, refrigerator, and holding units. Sanitizes dishes and utensils. Handles fryer cleaning and safety procedures. Inspects all equipment and area cleanliness. Exterior Sweeps and cleans parking and drive‑thru areas. Inspects for cleanliness. Receiving & Storage Receives and stores products following established procedures. Qualifications Experience Guest service or food cook/preparation experience helpful; comfort working in a high volume, fast‑paced restaurant environment. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Minimum age 16. Clear communication in English; ability to speak another language may be required. Basic math skills; ability to perform multiple tasks and work effectively in a team. Physical Requirements Stand and walk 90‑95% of shift; lift and carry 15‑25 lbs. Operate a cash register and read video monitors.
