Estimator – Sign Industry

Eastern Sign Tech is a custom fabrication, installation, and service provider in the electrical signage industry. Since 2002, our team has succeeded in understanding the needs of the sign industry and delivered quality products and services. The company’s services are specifically tailored to the ever-changing needs and high demands of both commercial and industrial sectors of our economy. EST has succeeded in a niche market of which competition is limited to only those sign companies who are willing and capable of providing the highest quality workmanship to a widely dispersed customer base, which often requires a quick response time to service calls and who demand only the best in quality on all fabrication projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Review requests for pricing from clients for a wide variety of signage projects.

· Analyze provided site plans, design intents and contracts for thorough understanding of project.

· Assist with bids for new contracts and supporting activities of buyers.

· Evaluate the equipment, labor and material needed.

· Assess the risk levels associated with a project.

· Request additional information from customers when necessary.

· Provide a detailed cost analysis to Management.

· Monitor, compile and record actual costs at different stages of a project to ensure it stays within estimated costs.

· Establish & maintain relationships with Contractors and Vendors.

· Obtain and review offers and quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.

· Maintain current pricing and lead times for equipment and materials.

· Collaborate with Production, Design, and Project Management on original proposal intent.

· Understanding of production’s stock and equipment to utilize on a given project.

· Evaluate and recommend processes and procedures to keep projects most cost effective and profitable.

· Conduct on site surveys when necessary.

· Conduct bid walk throughs with customers when necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Positive attitude

· Detail Oriented

· Time management

· Effective communication between team members

· Basic understanding of sign industry terms and materials

· Proficient in Excel

· Valid driver’s license.

· Prefer on site employee but considering remote for this position for the right candidate.
