Main Responsibilities

The Head of Sanofi Intrepid US will be responsible for pioneering start-up spirit, working closely with the Global Head and the Board to shape the strategy of Research Laboratories, establishing organization and operational infrastructure, and overseeing its strategic execution. This position will also collaborate closely with Intrpide China team to fully capitalize on the competitive capabilities of China ecosystem, driving for highest productivity of Intrpide Research Laboratories.

Strategic Vision & Leadership

• Craft and shape strategy for Intrpide US, aligning with global Intrpide vision and R&D pipeline strategy
• Define and drive high-impact objectives for maximal value creation
• Design innovative, startup-inspired organizational model for Sanofi Intrpide US to accelerate our transformation
• Collaborate with Research fellows to curate a pipeline of selective, high-potential programs

Innovation Ecosystem Development

• Conceptualize and strategize the establishment of Intrpide Research Labs in the US
• Foster a culture of entrepreneurship and focused execution across Intrpide US
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with Therapeutic Areas and Platforms to identify organizational opportunities
• Establish a network of internal Business Partners to ensure seamless strategy implementation

Value Creation & Performance Strategy

• Develop a strategic framework for Intrpide programs, including value proposition criteria and success metrics
• Devise a novel performance evaluation system to assess Research Lab success and guide strategic pivots
• Strategize resource allocation to optimize probability of success across the portfolio
• Spearhead the development of external partnerships to create a robust support ecosystem for Intrpide Research Labs

External Innovation Integration

• Create structured mechanisms to systematically scout and evaluate external innovation for potential integration
• Develop collaborative models that enable rapid assessment and incorporation of disruptive technologies

About You

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in life science, MBA is a plus
• Deep training and knowledge in a discipline with extensive exposure in multiple disease areas
• 18+ years hands on drug discovery and leadership experience in Biotech, Biopharma or Pharma companies
• Track record of milestone deliveries in drug discovery and early development
• Track record of publications and presentations at scientific conferences
• Extensive experience in managing scientific functions and innovation initiatives
• Exposure in biotech, entrepreneur working environment
