Quality Assurance Manager

Salary Range: $110,000- $120,000 , depending on background and experience
Food background
Microbiological background helpful, but not required
1. Reports to Chief Administrative Officer
2. SQF certified; HACCP certified; PSQI certified
3. Responsible for Quality Management System
4. Responsible for the development of compliance procedures for all food safety and quality requirements as established by the company, relevant laws and regulations
5. Member of HACCP Team—Food Safety Role
6. Implements all quality procedures in conjunction with relevant departments
7. Evaluates the adequacy of all food safety and quality procedures
8. Oversees QA/QC staff
9. Oversees effectiveness of appropriate Pre-requisite Programs and all other production control documentation and procedures
10. Oversees the Environmental Monitoring Program
11. Develops appropriate training programs in conjunction with HR and Corporate Trainer
12. Assures that all staff training is effective
13. Works with Internal Audit teams as needed to comply with SQF certification
14. Assists in the tracking of food safety and quality performance and periodic reporting to senior staff
15. Develops corrective actions as needed
16. Validates food safety and quality procedures
17. Responsible for developing and maintaining HACCP Plan with HACCP Team
18. Responsible for assuring company has current, effective third-party facility audit
19. In conjunction with Customer Service responds to customer complaints
20. Has the authority and responsibility to report to Senior Management any potential or actual food safety risks or any potential of actual instances of non-compliance with the requirements of Safe Quality Food certification in effect at the time.
21. Contributes to periodic performance reviews in conjunction with HR, as needed
