Our Organization and Mission: The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Pay: $98,000- $105,000 Annually

Position Summary: Supervise departments following sections: print shop, mailroom, purchasing, records, contractual services, facilities, leasing and telecommunications. The print shop is responsible for reproduction via high-speed production copiers of agency briefs, training brochures, memoranda and other printed material. The mailroom is responsible for the inter and intra-office distribution of the mail. The purchasing section is responsible for assisting the agency personnel in obtaining equipment and supplies needed for the operation of the agency. The records section administers the creation, utilization, maintenance, retention, preservation and disposal of the agencys archive legal case files and miscellaneous files. Contractual Services creates and maintains all professional services secured through a contract. The facilities section is responsible for all aspects of the agency's facilities throughout the state. The leasing section is responsible for the department's real property leases. This position is also responsible for the agencys safety program.

Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of experience in business administration, purchasing, procurement, supply inventory, property management, and/or real property management; three years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, or
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of experience in business administration, purchasing, procurement, supply inventory, property management, and/or real property management; three years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, or
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience as described above, with major course of study in business or public administration can substitute for one year of the required experience.

The Work You Will Do: This positions duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • The Facilities section is responsible for all aspects of the agencys facilities throughout the state including managing renovations/buildouts for units staffing needs, coordinating maintenance/repairs and coordinating surplus property removal.
  • The Telecommunications section is responsible for the maintaining and programming of phone systems to include cell phones, smart phones, MiFis, fax, conference lines, Phone Desk and Telephone Billing database within the agency as well as other phone related issues.
  • Responsible for the departments real property leases, including but not limited to, development of space requirements, negotiations and correspondence with realtors and lessors over proposed leases and renewal of existing leases. Serve as liaison between this agency and Bureau of Real Property Management with delegated authority to represent the agencys interest in leased space needs.
  • The Safety Program includes the establishment and communication of procedures for evaluating the effectiveness of control measures used to protect employees from health and safety hazards in the workplace and reviews and updates of workplace safety rules, inspection findings, employee reports of unsafe conditions or work practices and statewide suggestions and concerns regarding safety.
  • Work independently to collect and evaluate data needed for miscellaneous reporting requirements to the Executive Office of the Governor, the Auditor General, the Department of Management Services and the Comptroller.
  • Responsible for carrying out special projects, tasks and assignments for the Chief of Staff, Director of Administration and the Chief Deputy Attorney General. Respond to correspondence as directed. Attend meetings as agency representative as requested or directed.
