Position Summary: The Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, architects, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimate.
  • Prepare and present cost reports and bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project costs and compare them to the original estimates, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, construction methods, and cost data to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in both residential and commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
