JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist in design, development and improve manufacturing processes of new or existing product by
building and testing of prototype and low volume vehicles and electro-mechanical devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the engineering department with regard to product design to resolve product difficulties.
Maintains material stock and inventories and advises material requisitions. Inspect, diagnose
repair and/or replace vehicle\device operating system (Thermal systems, powertrain, suspension,
brakes etc.)
Operate a vehicle lift
Experience installation wiring harnesses and thermal hose systems
Experience in building and servicing mechatronic systems
Experience in working with PCBAs
Experience in soldering (PCBAs, harness, etc.)
Experience performing, and the use of power tools required, to modify sheet metal and plastic
components; this includes A-surface components
Ability to view and interpret CAD images; basic PC skills required
General knowing of interior and exterior vehicle assembly, service, and aftermarket modifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
4 years’ experience in an automotive environment, preferred.
Experience working in a team environment is highly desired.
Ability to lead a team of people
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associates Degree preferred
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Hi-lo license, crane operator license.
Welding certification required.
Journeyman or Apprenticeship preferred
